August 2, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Kent E. Menzel, professor of communication at DePauw University, is the national champion in the 50-54 age bracket after winning the 8-kilometer "scratch race" at the USA Cycling Masters Track Nationals. The event, which took place over the weekend in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, brought together more than 400 riders from across the United States.
