September 7, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — "Nick Mourouzis still has a slide of a lanky, baby-faced Tommy Rees, all of 13 years old at the time, that he still shows off to young quarterbacks looking for answers," begins a South Bend Tribune story. " 'He did have the perfect form, even then,' said Mourouzis, a retired head football coach and professor of kinesiology at DePauw University said of the now 19-year-old baby-faced Notre Dame sophomore who will step onto the big stage one more time, Saturday night at Michigan Stadium."
Mourouzis, DePauw's head coach from 1981 through 2003, tells the newspaper, "It’s the same for kickers and quarterbacks -- you can have a great leg, you can have a great arm. But the most important thing is to be accurate. It’s also important to have a demeanor where, if your 
coach gets on you, if things aren’t going your way, it doesn’t affect your play. Tommy Rees has both of those."
Eric Hansen writes, "And that is why it’s no surprise to Mourouzis, who to this day fixes everything from shanked field goal tries to warped golf swings, that Rees has ascended to the top of the ND quarterback depth chart, just in time for the 39th meeting between the Irish (0-1) and the Wolverines (1-0)."
