September 7, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — "Local 7 WTVW reporter Lindsay Merwin has been chosen as the station's new weekend news co-anchor ... and host of the station's upcoming new program My Hometown," reports the Evansville Courier & Press. "Merwin joined WTVW in September 2010, following her graduation from DePauw University. A 2006 Central High School graduate, Merwin also interned at the station and was a camera operator for A.M. Evansville, writes Jacob Newkirk.
According to the Fox affiliate's news director, Bob Walters, My Hometown "will be all about history, hot spots and people that make the communities in the Local 7 viewing area special. During the week Lindsay will work on My Hometown visiting Tri-state communities to tell unique and interesting stories."
The show will air on weekends and will debut later this month. Merwin is a 2010 graduate of DePauw, where she was an English (writing) major and Media Fellow.
