The "On Campus" column also notes that in women's basketball, "DePauw was selected as the favorite to win the NCAC title in a preseason poll of the league's coaches. The Tigers, who moved to the NCAC after winning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title, received eight of nine first-place votes."
