August 21, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — "Members of the public who want a chance to hear superstar cellist
Yo-Yo Ma at DePauw University can vie for tickets at $20 each, starting
Aug. 29," notes today's Indianapolis Star. Jay Harvey writes, "Ma's
visit, part of DePauw Discourse 2011: Empowering Society Through the
Arts, will focus on his performance with a reduced version of the
Chicago Civic Orchestra at 8 p.m. Sept. 30 in Kresge Auditorium, Green
Center for the Performing Arts, 605 S. College Ave." The piece adds, "Ma will
lecture at DePauw at 8 p.m. Sept. 29. Admission is free. A television
feed of the lecture will be available in Moore Theatre to accommodate
overflow seating."
