October 20, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Kimberly Martin del Campo, director of continuing education at Texas A&M International University's Binational Center for Research, Education, Leadership and Public Service, and 2007 graduate of DePauw University, is among the new members of Leadership Laredo. Established in 1986 under the auspices of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Laredo is a non-profit organization aimed at challenging Laredo's best to take an active role in shaping the future of the community.
Martin del Campo is also serving as chair of the 8th grade class of Youth Leadership Laredo, a mentoring program for young people.
Members of Leadership Laredo are "invited to a series of seminars intended to educate them about all facets of Laredo," notes an article in the Laredo Morning Times. It notes that Martin del Campo majored in sociology at DePauw and minored in psychology and Spanish, and is working toward a master's degree in sociology.
