John Younger '05 Recognized as Young 'Star' of Sports Business Industry

103187December 7, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — John Younger, senior director of business development for Roush Fenway Racing and 2005 graduate of DePauw University, is among the "10 NEXT." The new award, presented by SportsPro magazine in partnership with the Ivy Sports Symposium, "aims to recognize ten stars of the sports business industry under the age of 30 that have achieved a level of success that is truly rare at such a young age."

Younger and the other nine honorees are profiled in the December/January edition of SportsPro and are featured on the publication's website.

The nomination of Younger noted, "John is a consummate professional, and one of the best people I have worked with in the sport of NASCAR. He is passionate, hard-working, creative and results-driven." 103189

Younger, a communication major as an undergraduate, says, "There is no way I could I have accomplished this without the education and experiences I was able to receive at DePauw University."

Roush Fenway Racing is NASCAR's largest team operating in both the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series with drivers Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle, David Ragan, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Trevor Bayne. John Younger previously held positions with Red Bull Cheever Racing and Vision Racing in the IndyCar Series.
